Sarah Clark is the founder of California Palimony and has over 15 years of experience representing clients in palimony or “Marvin” actions along with various family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support and spousal support proceedings, domestic violence restraining orders, and international child abduction cases. Ms.Clark has also successfully handled several appellate cases involving domestic violence restraining orders and palimony rights.
Ms. Clark attended Rutgers University where she graduated with a Bachelors degree, double majoring in Administration of Justice and Art History, with a minor in Criminology. Thereafter, Ms. Clark attended Golden Gate University where she received her Juris Doctorate. While in law school, Sarah excelled academically receiving the CALI Award for Future Excellence in both legal research and writing and appellate advocacy. Ms. Clark also received the Scribes American Society of Legal Writers Award, wherein she was inducted into the National Order of Scribes. Her interest in family law grew when she studied abroad in Florence, Italy and took courses in international family law. Ms. Clark also gained invaluable experience when she served as an intern for the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office - Child Dependency Unit and assisted in the representation of children in dependency proceedings.
Ms. Clark was admitted to the California State Bar in 2008 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2012.
Ms. Clark believes that an effective family law attorney stays in close communication with her client, working together to reach appropriate resolutions to the unique issues presented in each case. Ms. Clark regularly attends continuing education seminars to stay up to date on the most current laws to provide her clients with superior legal representation. Ms. Clark is compassionate and understands that this is an emotional time for clients who are often going through one of the most difficult times in their lives. Ms. Clark approaches each client and each case with empathy, integrity and the utmost regard for the ethical practice of law.
Lauren E. Ashley is an Attorney California Palimony and has years of experience representing clients in palimony or “Marvin” actions along with various family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support and spousal support proceedings, and domestic violence restraining orders.
Ms. Ashley graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis on Law and Society in 2011. Thereafter, Ms. Ashley attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate. As a Cum Laude graduate, Ms. Ashley excelled academically receiving Deans List and Honor Roll Awards.
In her spare time, Ms. Ashley enjoys competing in triathlons, wakeboarding, and traveling.
